Description
How we love to find these little JCII / JMDC stickers on our eBay and Goodwill wins. JCII stands for ‘Japan Camera Industry Institute’ – or maybe more precisely – ‘The Japan(Nippon) Camera and optical instruments Inspection and testing Institute’. JMDC? The Japan Machinery Design Centre.
The numbering on these stickers seems baffling to anyone who’s looked into it, and the jury’s out on whether these stickers meant the ‘design’ passed a certain standard, or the camera/lens itself. This one’s from a Canon AE-1 Program on Ken Rockwell’s site.
